Terms of service for HelloXpress Removals
1. Pricing Model
HelloXpress Removals operates two pricing models:
- Instant Pricing: Prices are calculated automatically based on distance, vehicle type, demand factors, and selected items/packages. Final prices may vary based on demand, timing, and operational requirements.
- Marketplace Bidding: Transport providers can bid on your listing. You choose the best quote based on price, provider rating, and availability.
2. Pricing Disclaimer
Prices shown are estimates based on the information provided. Changes to job details may result in price adjustments. We do not operate fixed per-mile or per-hour rates. Pricing is dynamically calculated to reflect real-world costs and availability.
3. Deposit Clause
A deposit is payable at the time of booking to secure your service. The deposit amount is 25% of the total quote price and is deducted from the final amount. The remaining 75% balance is payable to the service provider upon completion of the job.
Deposits are non-refundable except in cases where we are unable to provide the service or as outlined in our cancellation policy.
4. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your booking free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled pickup date. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled time may be subject to charges up to the full deposit amount.
If we need to cancel your booking due to circumstances beyond our control, you will receive a full refund of any payments made.
5. Service Provider Responsibilities
Service providers (movers) are independent contractors. They are responsible for:
- Arriving on time for scheduled pickups and deliveries
- Handling items with care and professionalism
- Completing the job as agreed
- Maintaining appropriate insurance coverage
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information when creating quotes
- Being available at the agreed pickup and delivery times
- Ensuring items are ready for transport
- Paying the balance to the service provider upon completion
7. Liability & Insurance
All moves include £50,000 cover as standard. This covers damage or loss of items during transport. Additional coverage may be available for high-value items upon request.
HelloXpress acts as a platform connecting customers with service providers. While we facilitate the transaction and provide insurance coverage, the actual moving service is provided by independent contractors.
8. Payment Terms
The deposit (25%) is paid to HelloXpress at the time of booking. The balance (75%) is paid directly to the service provider upon completion of the delivery. Payment methods and terms for the balance will be agreed upon with your service provider.
9. Disputes
In case of disputes between customers and service providers, HelloXpress will act as a mediator. We will review the situation and work to reach a fair resolution for all parties involved.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
